Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) – We were assigned to TX Children’s Hospital to architect, design, and implement a new solution that would allow the IT staff to manage the increasing number of project requests. This system would replace the 6 page Project Request Form they used before. The IT staff also wanted managers to be able to login at anytime and view the status of their request as well as receive an email notification whenever the status changed. After gathering the requirements, building the specification documents, and creating a project timeline with deliverables (as required by CMMI), we were able to build a reliable solution for them. Our assignment concluded with creating full documentation, support notes, and training for 62 managers.

NetIQ

List Pull & Scrub Application - This self-service web application was designed to generate and scrub contact data lists for NetIQ's Systems & Security Management Corporate Marketing team. The application produces customer, prospect, and general contact lists that are used to market their products worldwide via email, phone, or direct mail.

Data is pulled from NetIQ's marketing data warehouse based on user-defined criteria selected through the web interface. Users may also upload existing contact lists from a variety of different formats. The application uses a proven, reliable 7-step algorithm (Scrub) to filter the contact list, remove duplicate records, and cleanse the contact data elements– invalid email addresses; phone numbers, addresses, etc are removed.

MedicalCountermeasures.gov facilitates communication between federal government agencies and public stakeholders to enhance the Nation's public health emergency preparedness. Over 600 pharmaceutical firms use the portal to request meetings with government agencies and post research about their products and services. The website also manages the registration for several annual conferences. In this project we were responsible for managing and improving the meeting system, and creating new features for the content management system (Umbraco CMS) so managers can update the website and post new articles. The website, CMS, and the Meeting/Scheduling system are completely U.S. Section 508 compliant.

Continental Airlines

Agency (internal application) – Agency is an existing web-based application that allows travel agents across the world to book fights, upgrade passengers, and edit flight arrangements using a real-time system directly connected to Continental and other participating airlines. Through its popularity, the system has gone through many upgrades. We were responsible for taking all of this feedback and providing feasible, value-added enhancements on a regular basis. Our enhancements have included; real-time alerts, password recovery, increased speed in SQL queries, optimized DTS packages and shorter scheduled jobs, and improved user management. We also redesigned the database in preparation for the new Agency 2.0 project.
